Started in March 2013, Every Classroom Matters was named an Edublog finalist for best podcast or hangout. in 2013. Every Classroom Matters

Thanks for the nomination of this show.

As I'm writing this, the Edublog Awards voting closes at 11:59 pm EST 12/18/2013.

If you want to understand how the awards work, why they were first founded, and a little bit more transparency behind the scenes – Sue gives us all a peek into how it all works and some lessons learned through the years.

One of my favorite things said in this podcast is when Sue talks about how she always “finds” new people who have an amazing body of work. I do too – it is kind of like “where have you been all my life.” I look at all of the finalists and add them to my Twitter and PLN but remember this. YOU nominate in November. We have to do a better job of remembering some of the people we take for granted who have been serving education for years and are left off the list. If your favorite isn't there, please say thank you to them in a Tweet or an email. Kindness always matters and recognizing edublogging and sharing in education matters.
