At the present time, some schools, districts, and organizations allow credit for listening to podcasts. With this in mind, you can use the Podcast PD Template Hyperdoc. How can I suggest a guest for the 10 Minute Teacher Podcast?
My research assistant Dr. Lisa Durff helps me vet and bring guests on, but we prefer and mostly host active classroom teachers and educators on the show. The many voices of teachers are in the spotlight on this show.
How do you record the podcast?
Learn about the equipment we use for the show. This show is family-owned and operated with the first 500 episodes being produced by Vicki's husband, Kip, and now the show is produced by Vicki's son, John. With this in mind, we have the flexibility to record at educational events wherever Vicki speaks, sometimes for a live audience.
What topics will I hear on the 10 Minute Teacher?
How long has Vicki been podcasting?
Hi, I'm Vicki Davis the host of the 10 Minute Teacher podcast. I began podcasting in 2006 with Women of Web 2 which had 100 episodes. Then, in 2013 hosted another popular show in education, Every Classroom Matters and we recorded 301 episodes there. Then, I decided to become an independent podcaster and created the 10 Minute Teacher with my husband, Kip. Now, my son John is the producer and we have over 770 episodes and 5.6 million downloads and counting.
I love to interview teachers. My goal is to interview the most practicing classroom teachers I can. I want this show to be quick to fit into a busy teacher's schedule and practical. If you're a teacher and think you have a story to tell that will help other teachers or if you host another podcast in education, you can email my research assistant Dr. Lisa Durff at lisa at coolcatteacher dot com. If you're a business, don't ask to be a guest, you'd be better as an advertiser to support and keep this show rolling out to teachers.
