Yes, this is another plurk page — I'm finding that plurk and twitter are good for two entirely different types of conversations!

Vicki,
Thanks for noticing my Plurk poll on Skype. I’m interested in the policies in other districts on this since we are such a huge district with over 170,000 students, 12,000 teachers and about 170 schools. We do have a paid solution for video conferencing (Adobe Connect) but Skype is much more mainstream, yet blocked.
From those who do use it successfully with their students, I’d love to find out some of the ways they feel it has impacted student achievement. Any ideas?
Thanks!
Vicki, I am brand new to blogging. I have acutally been exploring this unknown world for a graduate class that I am taking this summer. I came across your blog and have been hooked. You share so many wonderful ideas and thoughts. I am taking on a greater role this year in my school with respect to technology and am excited to have your blog as a resource. Many of the terms that you are using are above my head. I have researced the technologies that I am not familiar with that you discuss . I am amazed at how much I am learning by following you on a daily basis. Thanks for sharing! I look forward to reading your blog.
