Information Meeting Tuesday Feb 3, 2009 3 pm EST

If you want to know more about the NetGen Ed Project or the challenge, feel free to join us tomorrow, Tuesday, February 3nd at 3 pm EST in Elluminate. (http://tinyurl.com/netgeninfo)

Kasi Bruno, Julie Lindsay, and I will be there to talk about the project and Kasi will talk about the challenge from Don Tapscott. We plan no longer than 45 minutes and will be recording the session for those of you who miss it.

After the session is over, the recording may be found at:

If you haven't read the book, Grown Up Digital: How the Net Generation is Changing Your World HC, I HIGHLY recommend it.

It is chock full of research, but also hits the myths and truths about this generation head on. I think every teacher and administrator should definitely read this book and am only into chapter 3 but HIGHLY recommend it. Don and his team have done a very good job and whether you agree with it or not (I happen to agree with what I've read so far) the research it contains will be something you have to discuss with your stakeholders.

Steve Dembo has a book club forming with a concluding interaction with Don Tapscott so you can ask him questions.

It is wonderful that authors are ENGAGING educators and students and think we should take up this opportunity to interact. Join in! Mash up this experience and make it your own. You don't have to “officially” join in anything to be a part of this.

You're welcome to join us!
