Teachers are important — to me, sure, it would be nice to have higher salaries – but as someone who makes so much less than the promosed $125,000 teacher salaries from DC — I think it is important for society to respect teachers AND for teachers to be the type of people that society can respect. Know that the news media is trying to get eyeballs and clicks and so sensational stories are what they sell and that for every horrible teacher story you hear, there are hundreds of thousands of great teacher stories that you won't!
