During post planning this year, discuss how you can incorporate personalized learning in your school next year. Here are some ideas for what teachers are doing now — some are large projects and others are just planning tools.
The end of school is near and it is time for some creative assemblies. Here’s a collection of assembly ideas talking about everything from bullying to manners and other ideas. Think about habits to reinforce over the summer (reading, for example) and work something around that. Encourage and inspire every chance you get because some students won’t be at your school next year. End well!
Sunday is Friendship Funday. Since this falls on a Sunday, here are some lesson plans for how you could do this at your school this year. I like to have students start a list on their computer and put their name at the top and each student shifts chairs and adds one positive thing about that person until the person is back at their seat and can embellish it and print it. Just make sure you’re looking at screens to ensure that those who are unkind are handled before the child may see it. (This doesn’t happen a lot but sometimes.)
