Top Chef: Cooking Up Instructional Greatness with Fun PD

Allison Starling has an awesome idea for teacher professional development! She creates two “PD Events” at different times during the year and creates a game to encourage learning at her school.

I loved this idea so much that I'm using it at my school. Right now, we're doing the “Christmas Three” PD Event and teachers are challenged to try three new things before Christmas. So many are trying things and we're having fun. Over half the teachers are now in Google Classroom and sharing with one another using video and photographs of what they are doing. If you work with instructional coaching, this is a definite idea to share and adapt. What will be your PD event?Top Chef professional development experience
