Today, I”ve got some great resources about Twitter education chats including the hashtags and a Google calendar with the times. The new website Tackk can help you make quick, pretty pages even anonymously. Make sure you get some girls in your high school to apply for the life changing NCWIT awards (an award that changed my own daughter's life). Finally, microcourse apps are beginning to emerge and I cover one of the newest ones.
If you want to subscribe to the Google calendar that keeps up with the education chats, here's the calendar. Just click on +Google Calendar in the bottom right hand corner. Don't worry, you can turn the calendar on and off.
The Twitter chats in education are compiled on this document including chats for each day of the week. Find a chat and join in – anyone is welcome (except trolls who want to take it off topic.)

Tackk is a quick, simple way to create a page (without really having a website.) This page links to all of the tackk's relating to education. This is a cool, unique idea and I haven't seen anything quite like it. Sort of pinterest/ glogster mixed together. Cool. Writing teachers or anyone who has students do quick projects might be interested in this.

High School | NCWIT Aspirations
Receiving a Georgia award for the NCWIT Aspirations in Computing changed my daughter's life. She could see herself in a STEM field and has applied to go to Georgia Tech and several other schools in Computer Science. If you have a girl in your school who has done some cool things with technology. APPLY!!! It is a great program. You can win $500 and a laptop if you receive a national award.

Create micro-courses or find them and learn from them. This is the web app for Coursmos but there are also apps for your phone, etc. This might be an interesting thing to do with students to have them create demos, etc. about how to do tasks. Very interesting.
